My work for Eurosac was to investigate maufacturing resource requirements and emissions across the industry and create a weighted average production profile. This allows manufacturers to benchmark their resource inputs and emissions outputs in order to understand their relative position.
The survey was anonymous so as not to give indications of actually data and weighted averages were employed. Resouces such as input paper types, bleaching, glues, inks were analysed, as well as energy inputs, CO2e and water effluent emissions.
